Pet of the Week: Trixie

Check out one of the pets available for adoption from the Peninsula Humane Society.

Meet Trixie, a 3 month old female pit bull puppy. She is very friendly, outgoing, attentive and full of energy.

She is looking for a strong new owner with breed experience willing to put her on a strict training plan and hopefully a house with a yard. She might be able to get along with male dogs but should be the only female dog in the house. She may also be able to get along with cats. She would do very well in a home with adults but because she can play rough, children should be over the age of 10.

As required with her breed, she will need to return to PHS/SPCA for mandatory obedience training. Also, your property must inspected to make sure she will be safe.

Trixie is presently in the TAILS program and will graduate June 17. If you would like to meet her, please contact Maria Eguren at MEGUREN@PeninsulaHumaneSociety.org or call PHS and ask for ext. 306.

To visit Trixie, go to the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. The shelter is open for adoptions Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is located at 12 Airport Blvd., San Mateo next to Coyote Point Park. For directions and information, call 650-340-7022 or visit www.PHS-SPCA.org
