Pet of the Week: Baby the Guinea Pig

Check out one of the pets available for adoption from the Peninsula Humane Society

Meet Baby, a handsome unaltered male guinea pig with a long black and white coat. In addition to being quite a looker, he is also a sweet and friendly boy. He would do great in a household with owners who can spend lots of time with him and handle him regularly. Did you know that guinea pigs have been kept as pets since the 16th century? Rumor has it that even Queen Elizabeth I kept one as a pet. Baby can go home with a first time pet owner. Do you think that might be with you?  His ID number is A499120.

To visit Baby come over to the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. The shelter is open for adoptions Monday through Friday, 11am to 7pm; and weekends from 11am to 6pm. We are located at 12 Airport Blvd., San Mateo next to Coyote Point Park. For directions and information, call 650/340.7022 or visit our website www.PHS-SPCA.org
