As Alvin Wang of the Bay Area Dragons team explained, Dragon Boat Festival Day is a tradition in Chinese-speaking countries across the world. The Bay Area is home to many dragon boat teams, and people of all ages and backgrounds enjoy the sport.

Races between teams took place throughout the day, and many local organizations and families came out to show their support and enjoy lunch on the grass along the water. The Bay Area Dragons also offered free dragon boat rides to families who came out for the festival.
