Foster City Mavericks Defeat Blue Devils in Championship Game

The baseball team won 17-16.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, the Foster City Tournament Baseball Mavericks came back from a 9 run deficit to win the championship game 17-16 over the Sacramento Blue Devils.

In this 12 team Ultimate Memorial Day Baseball Tournament, which was held at the Twin Creeks Sports Complex in Sunnyvale, the Mavericks, an 11 year old baseball team, just squeaked into the playoffs with great pitching and stellar defense. Once in the playoffs, the bats took over, with wins of 9-4, 12-3, and the thrilling 17-16 come from behind win in the final game.
