Green buildings provide increased comfort and well-being for residents, preserve our environment and natural resources for future generations, and reduce maintenance requirements and utility bills. While a good portion of newly constructed affordable housing is built to a green standard, a significant portion of the overall affordable housing stock was built before such standards existed.

Please join Eden Housing, Enterprise Community Partners, and StopWaste.org in a moderated panel discussing national, regional, and local programs and tools that support green retrofitting of existing multi-family housing and resident engagement and education. The event will kick-off with a keynote address by HUD Regional Director Ophelia Basgal, followed by an informative panel discussion, and a brief "flip the switch" ceremony dedicating the new solar system at an Eden Housing community that was developed in 1984.

Check-in, continental breakfast, and property viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m.; the program will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Please RSVP to (510) 247-8101 or RSVP@edenhousing.org
