Senior Express and Lunch Bunch Program to Stop Running July 1
The City Council cut the programs in an effort to save up to $28,000 in the City budget.
The door-to-door service and monthly senior Lunch Bunch Program will stop running on July 1, according to the city. The Senior Express Bus will continue to be used for Senior Wing Trips and Tours and will also be available for private rentals.
Last month, the City Council cut the programs in an effort to save up to $28,000 in the City budget.
"The City Council is working hard to resolve an annual General Fund structural deficit of over $3 million by Fiscal Year 2013-2014. In reducing expenditures, changes in City services are expected," City officials said in a statement.
