Red Line and Blue Line Shuttle Fare Vending Locations

Earlier this month, the city announced that the Red Line and Blue Line Connections Shuttles will begin a pilot program to introduce rider fares in July due to the city's budget deficit.

Officials have announced new vending locations for the upcoming Red Line and Blue Line Connections Shuttle pilot fare program.

Earlier this month, the city announced that the Red Line and Blue Line Connections Shuttles will begin a pilot program to introduce rider fares in July due to the city's budget deficit. Fares will be $1 per ride, and are intended to allow the City to recover some costs of providing the shuttle service.

, the trial program will take place from July 1 through June 30, 2012. Shuttle riders must purchase punch cards or monthly passes prior to boarding the bus beginning July 1.  Punch cards will cost $5 and are valid for five one-way rides; monthly passes will cost $25 and are good for one calendar month.

Punch cards and monthly passes will be available for purchase starting June 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the following locations:

  • , weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Foster City MiniMart, seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • , Monday through Thursday from  5 a.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

"The City thanks these community partners for their cooperation in making shuttle passes more readily available to riders," officials said in a statement. "Riders can also watch for City staff members and volunteers who will be riding the shuttles to answer questions beginning on June 20."
