President Obama to Rally in Redwood City

The president plans to attend three fundraisers in the Bay Area.

For less than a Lady Gaga VIP concert ticket, you can attend a rally with President Barack Obama at the on Wednesday, May 23. Tickets start at $250 for general admission, confirmed the Obama campaign.

With re-election up for grabs in November, the President is making his way around the Bay Area with three fundraisers in one day, reported the San Jose Mercury News.

The president will begin with a campaign roundtable at Palo Alto’s Garden Court Hotel at 4:30 p.m. to support the Asian-American/Pacific Islander community. The cost? $35,800, much steeper than the Fox Theatre rally.

He’ll then stop for dinner at Lisa and Douglas Goldman’s home in Atherton at 5:30 p.m. with tickets also costing $35,800. Douglas Goldman is a well-known philanthropist, and also the son of Levi Strauss heirs Richard and Rhoda Goldman, according to the couple’s foundation website.

For the grand finale, he’ll head to Redwood City’s Fox Theatre at 6 p.m. If attendees want a better close-up, premium seating is available for $1,000 or $7,500 for a seat plus a photo reception. Two buddies can tag along as guests at $2,500 each.

People have been tweeting on the social media platform, Twitter, about the President's visit:
