Caltrain Construction and Maintenance: Dec. 29, 2012, to Jan. 4, 2013

The latest happening with Caltrain.

San Bruno Grade Separation Project

Day work will be done from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will install utility infrastructure, place concrete panels using a crane, and pour concrete. Crews may use medium and heavy duty diesel vehicles to transport dirt and concrete.

Night work will occur from Sunday, Dec.30, through Friday, Jan. 4, between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Crews will pour concrete and use a crane to place concrete panels.

The $147 million project will elevate the Caltrain tracks above three existing at-grade street crossings at San Bruno, San Mateo and Angus avenues.  A new elevated Caltrain station between San Bruno and San Mateo avenues will replace the station at Sylvan Avenue. Work on this project will not disrupt Caltrain service.

For more information, please call the dedicated outreach line at 650.508.7726 or emailsbgradesep@caltrain.com.

Caltrain will perform routine maintenance at several locations next week. To avoid delays to passengers, the work will take place Saturday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will be some construction noise but crews will work as quietly as possible. This work will not disrupt Caltrain service. For more information about this type of work, click here.

Thanks for posting, I never receive any notice of the repairs, believe the noise is way to loud when they are here in the night time and their big bright lights shine right into my bedroom window all night. The workers take up all of the parking in an already full neighborhood. Please cut down the brush, trees, weeds, that are over 10 tall along the E Bellevue tracks in San Mateo they are a fire hazard and dumping ground for garbage. I have made several complaints with no response
