Westbound Lanes Open After 5-Car Crash on Highway 92

A five-car crash reported at 1:41 a.m. caused all westbound lanes to be closed for more than an hour.

All westbound state Highway 92 lanes just east of Foster City Boulevard in Foster City have been reopened this morning after a five-car crash closed all lanes for more than an hour, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The five-car crash was reported at 1:41 a.m. A Sig-alert went into effect at 1:53 a.m. and was canceled at 3:08 a.m.

Traffic was diverted onto Foster City Boulevard because of the highway blockage, the CHP said.

Medical personnel were called to the scene, according to a CHP officer.
