The shooting damaged a San Mateo home but didn't injure any residents.

The San Mateo Police Department on Monday afternoon announced the arrest of a 26-year-old man in connection with an in San Mateo last week.

Michael Alex Osborne, a parolee living in South San Francisco, was arrested Friday afternoon after he attempted to run from a home in the 400 block of Alida Way in South San Francisco, San Mateo Police Sgt. Dave Norris said.

Another man, 24-year-old Ismael Garcia of Redwood City, was also arrested with Osborne, though he's not considered a suspect in the shooting.

Garcia was wanted by San Mateo County Probation for violating the conditions of his Post-Release Community Supervision, and was booked into county jail, Norris said.

Osborne was arrested and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, discharge of a firearm into an inhabited dwelling, transporting a firearm, and being a violent felon in possession of a firearm, Norris said. He was also placed on a parole hold.

The shooting was reported at about 4:20 a.m. on Feb. 21 in the 2300 block of South Norfolk Street in San Mateo. Responding officers found several shell casings in the street and bullet holes in a home on that block, but no one was injured.
