San Mateo Police Investigate Shooting into Home

The shooting occurred Monday night.

San Mateo police are investigating a shooting into a home on Monday night.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Ottawa Street at about 10:20 p.m. to a report of shots fired and found the home was occupied by six people, police said.

None of those inside the home had been injured by the gunfire, according to police.

The officers canvassed the neighborhood and established leads, which they are actively investigating.

San Mateo police are increasing their patrols of the area, and believe the case is an isolated incident.
