San Mateo Man Arrested for San Francisco Murder

Timothy Stewart was arrested Monday in connection with a fatal assault in San Francisco last month.

Police have arrested a San Mateo man in connection with the fatal assault of a man in San Francisco last month.

Timothy Stewart, 51, of San Mateo was arrested Monday night on suspicion of murdering Terry Spray, 61, of San Francisco, according to San Francisco police.

San Francisco police homicide investigators arrested Stewart at the San Francisco Hall of Justice for assaulting Spray in the 1100 block of Ellis Street on Aug. 3, 2012, police said.

Spray was critically injured during the assault and remained on life support until his death on Sept. 18, according to police.
