Power Back On After 4,500 Affected on Mid-Peninsula

The power outtage initially affected thousands of customers who live between Catamaran Street and Pitcairn Drive in Foster City.

Power has been restored to most PG&E customers who were affected by an outage in Foster City that began this morning, a PG&E spokesman said.

The outage started around 7:10 a.m. and initially affected about 4,500 customers between Catamaran Street and Pitcairn Drive, PG&E spokesman Jason King said. Power has since been restored to all but 284 customers, he said.

PG&E expects to restore power to the remaining customers by about 2:30 p.m., King said. He said the cause of the outage is still under investigation but that one wire was down in the area.
