Police Log, Oct. 26-28: Radar Detector, Pumpkins Stolen; Assaults at Crowne Plaza

Friday, Oct. 26, 2012

9:07 a.m. - Bike Theft - Occurred on Catamaran. RP reports theft of a bike from her carport sometime between 10/25/12 1830hrs & TOR. Valued at $99.00.

1:54 p.m. - Credit Card Fraud - Occurred on Avalon Ave. Front counter RP reports unauthorized online charges made on her credit card yesterday.

2:30 p.m. - Animal Call - Occurred at Port Royal Ave/Laguna Cir. German Shepard with tags and a collar is sitting on corner with no owner in sight. 2nd report of dog now at Boothbay Park. Dog located; friendly but not willing to come to Officer.

5:25 p.m. - Auto Burglary - Occurred at Parkside Towers on E Hillsdale Blvd. Vehicle parked in the 2nd level was broken into via passenger window smash. Occurred between 0930 hrs & 1645 hrs. Taken was a radar detector. Loss: $400.

7:11 p.m. - Reckless Driving - Occurred on Shearwater Isle. Resident at the front counter reporting elderly neighbor drives reckless in the neighborhood and almost hit them. 

7:31 p.m. - Reckless Driving  - Occurred at Boothbay Ave/Chesapeake Ave. Older male driver driving reckless. Reportedly did an illegal uturn, almost hit them, drove up on the sidewalk/grass, stopped in the roadway, then pulled into the driveway. Contact made with resident. 

Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012

12:19 a.m. - Assault - Occurred at Crowne Plaza Foster City on Chess Dr. Second hand report of two subjects in a scuffle outside of the ballroom associated with a wedding. 

2:15 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred on Halyard Ln. RP reports hearing a screaming female and what sounds to be running through the apartment. Officers unable to make contact with residents.

8:12 a.m. - Vandalism - Occurred at E Hillsdale Blvd/Sea Spray Ln. 2nd hand report of the bus stop glass surround being shattered. DPW contacted for clean up. 

10:45 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred at Catamaran Park on Catamaran. Report of 3 -4 subjects involved in a physical altercation near the basketball courts.

11:01 a.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred on Pelican Ct. RP reports theft of a 25 lb pumpkin from the front porch. Rp also advised another nearby resident is also missing a pumpkin.

3:52 p.m. - Health and Safety Code Violation - Occurred at Ketch Park on Ketch Ct. RP reports several subjects, 15-17 yro, possibly smoking marijuana. One wearing a black t-shirt w/ shoulder length hair. Subjects contacted; no evidence of HS activity. 

8:50 p.m. - Fireworks - Occurred at Farragut Park on Farragut Blvd. Complaint of fireworks being shot off in the area.

Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012

1:57 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred at Crowne Plaza Foster City on Chess Dr. Crowne Plaza employee reports second hand request for Officers to respond for some type of disturbance in the parking lot. Contact made with two subjects who were sent on their way in a cab.

4:32 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred at Peninsula Jewish Community Ctr on Foster City Blvd. PJCC reports they have detained 5 people who they suspect of stealing items from the Cafe. Contact made with subjects. PJCC desires no prosecution and subjects released. 

10:54 p.m. - City Ordinance Violation - Occurred at Recreation Center on Shell Blvd. Report of a motorized remote control boat in the lagoon.
