Police Log, March 1-3: Hit-and-Run, Barking Dogs

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, March 1, 2013

12:39 a.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred on Bounty Dr. Second hand report of a loud television from security.

6:03 a.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred on Marlin Ave. Rp reports his vehicle was rumaged through sometime between 2/28/13 2015hrs & 0600hrs today.

6:49 p.m. - Other Code Offense - Occurred at Brewer Island School on Polynesia Dr. After hours teacher reports 2 children that have not been picked up. Parents contacted and determined that the mother had fallen asleep at the time of pick-up. Children checked fine. 

7:39 p.m. - Disturbance - Occurred at The Jumps on Beach Park Blvd. RP reports a bon fire and marijuana usage on the levee. Levee checked clear; bon fire extinguished by officer.

11:04 a.m. - Animal Call - Occurred on E Hillsdale Blvd. Report of a dog locked in a vehicle with the windows up. Dog not in distress, windows are down slightly and owner contacted and admonished. 

12:45 p.m. - Vandalism - Occurred on Admiralty Ln. RP reports that her front door lock was tampered with sometime overnight. Unfounded: damage was on the inside and was caused by the resident closing the door incorrectly. Officer was able to secure the door.

2:17 p.m. - Hit-and-Run - Occurred on Chrysopolis Dr. RP reports a hit and run to her vehicle, a black Chevrolet Tahoe parked on the street, sometime in the last two hours. Driver's door, side mirror, front tire and rim damaged. Area check made for possible suspect vehicles.

3:40 p.m. - Vandalism - Occurred on Caravel Ln. Rp reports several of his vehicles have been vandalized. Advice rendered. No report desired.

3:53 p.m. - Fraud - Occurred on Edgewater Blvd. RP reports a male subject purporting to be a Western Union representative called him yesterday with computer codes for a supposed system upgrade which ultimately resulted in $3655.52 being transferred into a personal account in New York over four transactions. RP has advised Western Union and they will also be conducting their own investigation. 

7:42 p.m. - Suspicious Person - Occurred on E Hillsdale Blvd. RP reports a subject lingering in the parking lot looking inside vehicles. Darker skin male, balding, facial hair, wearing shorts and a camouflage jacket. Area checked with negative results.

1:43 p.m. - Suspicious Vehicle - Occurred at Port Royal Ave/Crystal Ct. RP reports a white panel van occupied by 2 subjects wearing hooded sweatshirts stopped in the middle of the street of Port Royal, continued on to Crystal and stopped again. Occurred 10 mins prior to calling PD. Area check made with negative results. Later determined to be subjects delivering newspapers

12:48 p.m. - Barking Dog - Occurred on Grenada Ln. Barking dog reported. No answer at the door and a note was left advising of the complaint. Dogs were barking upon arrival and departure. 

1:14 p.m. - Disturbance - Occurred at Port Royal Park on Port Royal Ave. RP reports a HFA, blue sweater with pink sleeves, who was ejected from the soccer game and is still waiting for a relative in the parking lot. Subject left prior to arrival and advice was rendered to the RP.

2:46 p.m. - Accident w/ Injury - Occurred at Safeway Supermarket on E Hillsdale Blvd. Injury collision reported. FCFD & AMR responded
