Police Log, June 25-26: Officer, Someone Put a Dead Duck on My Front Door

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

June 25:

7:25 a.m. - Code Offense - Occured at Foster City Boulevard and Fey. Reporting party said an unknown suspect cut the brake line on his motorcycle. It was determined an unknown party stole the brake lever assembly and brake fluid reservoir off the bike sometime during the night. A report was taken.

9:26 a.m. - Disturbance - Occured at the . Someone called to report a white male in a blue shirt and grey sweatpants was feeding the birds outside the center. When he was asked to stop, the man reportedly became very irate and verbally abusive. Officers responded and made contact with the man, and admonished him.

12:11 p.m. - Disturbance - Occured on Crane Avenue. A woman called the police to report that her ex-boyfriend refused to return the keys to her car. Officers helped resolve the situation.

3:52 p.m. - Disturbance - Officers were called to on E. Hillsdale Boulevard to help resolve a situation with a customer who became irate.

6:43 p.m. - Code Offense - Someone reported a large group of juveniles was drinking alcohol and smoking a hookah in . Officers responded and made contact with the party, but all turned out to be 18. The party agreed to leave the park voluntarily.

6:44 p.m. - Disturbance - Occured on Gull Avenue. Someone reported hearing a woman crying or howling loudly for the past hour. Officers located the woman, who was upset over a personal issue.

9:46 p.m. - Occured at the on Shell Boulevard. Someone flagged down an officer to report a road rage incident. Officers made contact with the other driver, who turned out to be just an out-of-towner who was lost and needed directions.

 

June 26:

10:05 a.m. - Disturbance - Occured on Foster City Boulevard. Someone reported a loud mother-daughter dispute. Officers made contact and helped mediate the situation.

1:15 p.m. - Occured on Nantucket. Report of a residential burglary that occured sometime between 11:40 a.m. and resident's time of return to the home. Reports an unknown suspect gained entry into the home through the front door and proceeded to steal approximately $20,000 in jewelry, an iPad, and a safe containing passports and other personal papers. A report was taken.

2:39 p.m. - - Occured on Arcturus Circle. A female resident reported someone had tried to break into her home sometime between 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Pry marks could be seen around the rear sliding glass door. A report was taken.

3:02 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occured on Barkentine. Resident reported that, sometime between Saturday and the time of report, someone had moved a dead duck that had been in the street, to in front of his front door. Officers assisted the resident with removal and disposal of the dead duck, and advice was given.

3:54 p.m. - - Occured on Leo Drive. A resident reported that someone had broken into the home sometime between 7:30 a.m. and the time of the report. Stolen were jewelry and a camera. A report was taken.

6:25 p.m. - Citizen Assist - Occured on Killdeer Court. A resident reported that the residents in the home behind his had used a leafblower to clean their yard, and in the process blew leaves over the fence into their yard, causing them extra work cleaning it up. Advice was rendered.

6:42 p.m. - Threat Case - Occured on Beach Park Boulevard. Someone called the police and requested to have it documented that he/she had received threatening text messages from a business associate. It was determined no crime had been committed, but advice was rendered.

7:26 p.m. - Citizen Assist - Occured on Staysail Court. Someone flagged down an officer to report that a personal pool in the backyard of a nearby home was overflowing. It appeared the pool man had left the hose on and left. Assistance was rendered.

7:59 p.m. - Warrant Service - A 65-year-old man was arrested on a DUI warrant. He posted $2,500 bail at the police station.

10:10 p.m. - Disturbance - Occured on Halsey Boulevard. A woman called 9-1-1 hysterical, saying she had locked herself in a bathroom over a dispute with her teenage son. The son had driven away in the mother's car. Officers attempted to help mediate the situation, but the mother refused to cooperate and said she would resolve the matter with her family.
