Police Log, June 19: 'Vicious' Poodle Reported at Park

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

10:34 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Rock Harbor Lane. RP reports a man, gray shirt and jeans, with a Pitbull mix on a leash, is identifying himself as a police volunteer and "threatening" to cite her for a leash law violation. Subject contacted.

10:44 a.m. - Grand Theft - Officer initiated activity at E Hillsdale Blvd. Officer flagged down at the scene of a fire call to report theft of tools. Unknown(s) broke the lock to the maintenance room in building C and took a table saw, extension cords and other misc items.

11:25 a.m. - Animal Call - Occurred at Dog Park on Foster City Blvd. RP reports an older female with short gray hair has a "vicious" brown Poodle at the dog park. Poodle & owner were located and no issues or problems were observed. Several park goers were contacted and all advised the Poodle was just playing. 

12:40 p.m. - Other Code Offense - Occurred at Kula Kai on Comet Dr. Office manager reports she confronted a non-resident middle aged Asian male dumping garbage in the dumpster; subject left in listed vehicle. Sergeant attempts contact at RO residence and after no answer, leaves door hanger advising not to dump garbage in RP dumpster.

1:37 p.m. - Petty Theft - Officer initiated activity at Luckys, Edgewater Blvd. Officer observes subject taking pallets from the rear of listed.

3:56 p.m. - Soliciting Without Permit - Occurred at CVS Pharmacy on E Hillsdale Blvd. Advice provided regarding a non-profit solicitor that's been in front of CVS. CVS management has received numerous complaints.

6:29 p.m. - Outside Agency Assist - Occurred at (Unknown Address), Fcy. County wide stakeout for a felony hit and run - vehicle vs bicyclist. Suspect and vehicle located by Daly City PD. 

6:49 p.m. - Commercial Burglary - Occurred at Orchard Supply Hardware on Metro Center Blvd. Employee reports 2 subjects were in the store and left in listed vehicle with merchandise. Gomez, Rudoph E.  DOB: 10-30-69, San Jose resident and Ramirez, Jose G. Jr.  DOB: 07-29-68, San Jose resident transported to County Jail for Commercial Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property.

9:14 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Rock Harbor Ln. RP reports subject 'impersonating' city official whom she called to complain about earlier, followed her home and now knows her home address. Subject was standing outside her home watching her children play and her dog. RP and husband came out upon children's yelling and subject left. Contact made with all parties.
