Police Log, June 20-21: Three Dead Birds Found Apparently Placed in Triangle

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

2:40 a.m. - Suspicious Person - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. Security reports subject is sleeping outside his vehicle and they would like him to leave. 

11:52 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred on Farragut Blvd. 18 yro son is out of control and yelling. Contact made. Situation abated/mediated.

12:37 p.m. - Battery - Occurred on Port Royal Ave. 14 yro states her father threw items at her, hit her in her head and punched her in her stomach. Parents downstairs with 10 yro brothers and are unaware PD was called. Fire/medics called for check. Determined to be mutual 240/242. Case taken. Father left residence.

2:37 p.m. - Hit-and-Run - Occurred at Safeway Supermarket on E Hillsdale Blvd. RP reports her vehicle was struck in the parking lot. No suspect info; sil paint transfer on her vehicle.

3:50 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Pilgrim Drive. 3 dead birds found in driveway that appeared to be placed in a triangle. Advice rendered.

6:28 p.m. - Other Code Offense - Occurred at CVS Pharmacy on E Hillsdale Blvd. RP reports receiving a counterfeit $100 from an employee of Cartridge World. All involved parties contacted. Cartridge World employee stated he was unaware that the bill was counterfeit.

8:22 p.m. - Residential Burglary - Occurred on Sail Fish Isle. 2nd hand report that RP's girlfriend returned home and discovered that a former roommate has stolen property prior to his departure. Locked interior doors were pried open.

11:03 p.m. - Trespassing - Occurred on Catamaran. Resident of Lido Lane caught a nonresident female trespassing in the pool, is suspicious about how she obtained a keycard and followed her to her residence. Subject contacted, admonished.

Thursday, June 21, 2012 

1:45 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred on Bounty Dr. RP reports a verbal domestic dispute has been going on for the past 15 minutes. Verbal only and female half will be leaving for the night. 

12:23 p.m. - Vandalism - Occurred on Somerset Lane. House was egged around 2300 hrs. by unkns. Occ'd a few weeks ago to a neighbor. No damage/no report desired. 

2:39 p.m. - Auto Burglary - Occurred on E Hillsdale Blvd. Vehicle broken into while parked on Edgewater side of complex near EHB via passenger window smash. Taken was car stereo, GPS unit, and misc. items. Est loss of $1000.00.

5:18 p.m. - Grand Theft - Occurred on Triton Dr. Security reports HMA's loading construction materials into a red pickup without authorization. All involved parties including management were contacted and the materials were the property of the subjects. An MSR was taken. 

6:34 p.m. - Lost Property - Occurred on E Hillsdale Blvd. Front Counter RP reports that his son lost his iPod Touch.

7:34 p.m. - Bike Theft - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. RP reports that unknown person(s) stole their bike. Stolen was a white & silver Specialized 10 speed mountain bike (NFD or serial numbers).
