Police Log, July 20-22: Two Men Steal Whiskey from Safeway

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

1:52 a.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred at Shell Bl/Bounty Dr. Report of some teens making noise near or under the bridge over the lagoon.  

7:18 a.m. - Vehicle Theft - Officer initiated activity at East Third Avenue, San Mateo. Officer in pursuit of a vehicle from FCB/Balclutha at 0708 Hrs. after driver refused to pull over. Officer called off pursuit after driver goes Eastbound in the Westbound lanes of Hwy 92. CHP advised. Citizen flags down officer to report vehicle possibly located in San Mateo. Vehicle located unoccupied at 4100 East Third Avenue, Officers make an area check for driver with negative results. Suspect was later that day.

12:55 p.m. - Grand Theft - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. Storage locker to the rear of bldg broken into btwn yesterday 1800 hrs and 1200 hrs today. Entry made via lock cut. Taken was 2 sets of golf clubs and 2 bags. Determined clubs and bags belonging to rp were inside the vehicle that was left behind after pursuit. Refer to case  2012-1159. Items. Along with golf items, an ice cooler was also claimed by RP and all items released from the Station.

1:57 p.m. - Shoplifting - Occurred at Safeway Supermarket on E Hillsdale Blvd. WM 20's dark hair/long beard braded with bead at end, wearing blk t-shirt and blk shorts took a bottle of alcohol and walked out the door, across the parking lot and ran x EHB twds Ryan Park. Second WM, bro hair less scruffy assoc. unk DOT. Suspects GOA/UTL. Taken was a bottle of Johnny Walker Red valued at $27.00. 

2:03 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. Storage locker broken into via lock cut and a 12 pack of Bounty paper towels, 12 pack Charmin toliet paper and a blue trash receptical containing misc wires were taken. Occ'd btwn 0605 hrs this morning and 1200 hrs. Determined to be items found in stolen vehicle recovered after pursuit. 

5:09 p.m. - Reckless Driving - Occurred at E Hillsdale Blvd./Foster City Blvd. Driver was behind rp approaching Shell from EB EHB and when rp prepared to stop for red light, driver swerved around him and ran the red light. L/S continuing EB on EHB from Shell.

7:12 p.m. - Fireworks - Occurred on Hudson Bay. Fireworks, 2-3 "cherry bombs" heard in the area. RP believes is may be kids in the pass through at Chesapeake and Bodega.

12:59 a.m. - City Ordinance Violation - Occurred at Shad Ct. People in the park after hours.

2:54 p.m. - Other Code Offense - Occurred on Halibut. Anonymous RP reports that residents conducting a garage sale yesterday & today had ammunition for sale.

9:16 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred on Bowfin. RP reports while she was out of the house someone pulled a plant out of the pot.

12:01 a.m. - Barking Dog - Occurred on Flying Mist Isle. Complaint of a barking dog from across the water. 

9:29 a.m. - Bicycle Stop - Officer initiated activity at Pitcairn Dr/Edgewater Blvd. Bicyclist stoped and advised/admonished for riding on the sidewalk.

10:29 a.m. - Animal Call - Occurred at Kids Connection Inc. Day Care on Beach Park Blvd. Injured bird located and secured picked up and brought to the Station and released to Animal Control.
