Police Log, July 13-15: Man in Straw Hat Possibly Steals Playstation, Jewelry

Friday, July 13, 2012

9:47 a.m. - Abandoned Vehicle - Occurred on Flying Cloud Isle. Email report of a vehicle parked for almost a year. Vehicle marked and courtesy notice left.

11:57 a.m. - Non-Injury Crash - Occurred at Pitcairn Dr/Sea Cloud Dr. Street sweeper vs. auto info exchanged and auto no longer on scene. Supervisor on scene now requesting report. 

2:16 p.m. - Suspicious Vehicle - Occurred at Ranger Cir/Balclutha Dr. RP reports approx 10-15 ago two PI males in an older model Honda. Subject left in a hurry after seeing the RP. Area checked negative.

2:04 p.m. - Residential Burglary - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. RP reports coming home to find the residence ransacked. Occurred  btwn 0900 and 1600 hrs; entry made via rear slider and exit via the front door. Taken was jewelry, misc clothing and a Sony playstation. Possible suspsect seen at 1330 hrs and described as a WMA mid-20's, bln hair 5'10 180 wearing a beige straw hat. 

7:06 p.m. - Found Property - Occurred at Ryan Park on E Hillsdale Blvd. Citzen at the front counter finds a Samsung Metro PCS cell phone in the park. Phone returned to owner.

9:43 a.m. - Bike Theft - Occurred at Safeway Supermarket on E Hillsdale Blvd. RP reports she left her bike unattended and unsecured outside Safeway yesterday when unknown/s took the bike. Loss $300 Diamondback Bicycle.

5:59 p.m. - Reckless Driving - Occurred at E Hillsdale Blvd./Edgewater Blvd. RP reports a bald WMA was driving at a high rate of speed, making abrupt lane changes and made a rude hand gesture at the RP. Subject was last seen southbound on Edgewater Blvd. 

10:18 p.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred on Compass Ln. RP reports a male has been intermittently screaming profanity for the past 15 minutes from a nearby building (possibly 1111 Compass). RP believes the subject might be watching a sporting event.

12:43 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Shooting Star Isle. RP & his wife just returned home and discovered their garage door & interior door open. Interior searched and no crime occurred.

2:03 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred at Franciscan on Foster City Blvd. Carport overhead storage unit #102 was broken into via lock cut. Occ'd btwn 1500 hrs on  7-12 and 2000 hrs on  7-13. Taken was an air conditioner unit, vacuum, car cleaning products, and a blower for a jump housevalued at $900.00. 

3:14 p.m. - Residential Burglary - Occurred on Sea Spray Ln. Inside storage unit broken into btwn 1600 hrs. on 7/1 and TOR. Taken were several power tools and misc items. Estimated loss of $1000.00.

9:32 p.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred on E Hillsdale Blvd. Complaint of loud music from a downstairs neighbor.

9:39 p.m. - Robbery - Occurred at El Torito on Vintage Park Dr. Second hand report of a subject who was robbed via strong arm. Victim located, Restrained party attempted to kidnap the Victim, Robbed her by force of her cash, purse and cell phone. Known suspect fled in his work vehicle.
