Police Log, Jan. 4: Disabled Placard Stolen from Car Parked at School

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan. 4, 2013

1:31 a.m. - Suspicious Person - Occurred on Marlin Ave. Report of a male walking south on Marlin shining a flashlight at houses as he goes.

8:11 a.m - Suspicious Circumstance - Occurred on Constitution Dr. RP continues to receive unwanted offers to socialize from subject she previosuly hired for moving job. Subject contacted and advised not to continue to contact the Rp and MSR taken.

10:05 a.m. - Citizen Assist - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. RP left her keys (which are now missing) in her front door last night and would like to speak with an officer. No report desired and advice rendered. RP already contacted a locksmith.

11:54 a.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred at Brewer Island School on Polynesia Dr. Front counter RP reports a disabled placard belonging to her mother was stolen from her open unlocked vehicle 12/20/12 between 0800-1200 hrs. 

1:24 p.m. - Possession of Controlled Substance - Occurred at Crowne Plaza Foster City on Chess Dr. RP requesting a welfare check on a female who has been hanging around the hotel since approx 0700 this morning. Subject appeared to have an issue with a BMA in a newer Ford and is now in the ladies restroom near the banquet wing. Male subject located and then fled in a black Ford Edge. Last seen S/B 101 at Ralston. X was located in the west lot. San Jose resident arrested and transported to county jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false ID to a peace officer, resisting arrest, 2 outstanding misdemeanors & 1 felony warrant.

3:57 p.m. - Lost Property - Occurred at Peninsula Jewish Community Ctr on Foster City Blvd. RP at the front counter reports his wife lost her wedding ring approx 2 weeks ago. Additional information needed; advice rendered. 

3:59 p.m. - Hit-and-Run - Occurred at Foster City Mini-Mart on Shell Blvd. Rp reports hit and run just occurred. Suspect vehicle DOT W/B on Beach Park Bl. Driver/ older male with salt & pepper hair and a female passenger. Right rear tail light damage. Suspect vehicle and driver located; determined to be a misunderstanding. Driver returned to the scene and information was exchanged between parties.

10:39 p.m. - Loud Party - Occurred on Staysail Ct. Loud party; possible underaged drinking.

11:40 p.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred on Staysail Ct. Repeat complaint of a loud party with extra participants arriving. Gathering dispersed.
