Police Log, Jan. 1: Toy Gun Found Near Dumpster

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013

12:01 a.m. - Fireworks - Officer initiated activity at Saturn Ct. Contact made with subject lighting fireworks.

1:14 a.m. - Drunk in Public - Occurred at Crowne Plaza Foster City on Chess Dr. San Mateo resident transported to County Jail for being drunk in public. 

1:42 a.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred on Bounty Dr. Loud party complaint - continual problem. Contact/compliance.

11:43 a.m. - Welfare Check - Occurred on Admiralty Ln. Process sever went to residence and two little children, no more than 5 & 6, opened the door. When RP asked were their mother was, they stated she was sick and upstairs sleeping after burning her hand.

5:48 p.m. - Hit-and-Run Property Damage - Occurred at Boothbay Park on Boothbay Ave/Galveston. RP reports that a WMA or HMA, 27 Y.O., unshaven or a light beard, driving a white Volkswagon 4 door, just collided with the back of her gray minivan and was last seen westbound on Hudson Bay from Galveston.

8:36 p.m. - Noise Complaint - Occurred on Mainsail Ct. RP reports hearing a sound which sounded like one gun shot. 

8:55 p.m. - Found Property - Occurred on Foster City Blvd. RP reports finding a gun on the ground at the dumpster. RP took item to his home to show Officers. Unsure if toy or real. Determined to be a toy.

10:21 p.m. - Animal Call - Occurred on Rock Harbor Ln. RP reports his neighbor habitually allows her two dogs one pitbull, one small dog, to be off leash. When RP was walking his dog off leash neighbor's dog attacked his dog. Dog is uninjured. No one home at neighbors. Incident number provided and Rp advised to contact PD next time he sees the dog.
