Police Log, Feb. 14-18: Graffiti on Fire Hydrant

Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013

1:25 a.m. - Fire Assist - Occurred on Flying Cloud Isle. Assistance rendered to FCFD for an oven fire.

8:46 a.m. - Battery - Occurred on Polynesia Dr. 2nd hand report of a teacher who was battered by a child.

4:31 p.m. - Leash Law Violation - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. RP reports a big brown shaggy dog running loose. Dog was remanded into Animal Control's custody.

6:27 p.m. - Shoplifting - Occurred on Metro Center Blvd. RP reports a detained shoplifter with a 2nd suspect still outstanding. Castro Valley resident cited & released from the PD for petty theft. 2nd suspect is a WM or HM, 40's, 5'10", 190 LB., black jacket, blue shirt, black pants, driving a newer gray 4 door vehicle (possibly a Toyota Corolla) with a green pine tree air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror. 2nd suspect last seen in the parking lot approx. 5 - 10 minutes before time of report with a pair of stolen $280 Bose portable speakers.

7:14 p.m. - Graffiti - Occurred on Barkentine. RP reports graffiti on fire hydrant in front of the residence.

10:31 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstance - Occurred on Comet Dr. RP reports hearing a baby crying outside her front door. Determined to be 3 cats outside.

8:48 a.m. - Grand Theft - Occurred at Solar City on Foster City Blvd. Rp reports a company vehicle was burglarized. No sign of forced entry. Occurred between 02/14/13 @ 1730hrs & 0700hrs today. Loss approx $2,000 in wire and $1,500 in misc tools.

12:55 p.m. - Accident w/ Injury - Occurred on Foster City Blvd. Vehicle vs bicyclist. Fire/medics en route.

Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013

9:56 a.m. - Citizen Assist - Occurred on Foster City Blvd. Rp reports receiving so many phone calls from "Publishers Clearing House" that her ability to make calls is nearly impossible. Phone calls determined to be from the Jamaica area in a possible attempt to commit fraud. Informational case taken and Rp assisted with blocking the numbers.

2:06 p.m. - Found Property - Officer initiated activity at Edgewater Place, Edgewater Blvd. Officer flagged down by citizen who had found a phone. Phone's owner contacted and was reunited with phone. 

8:37 p.m. - Disturbance - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. Complaint of juveniles screaming loudly nearby and ringing the RP's doorbell and running away.

Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013

1:14 a.m. - Vehicle Code Violation - Occurred at Beach Park Blvd/Teal. Vehicle seen swerving; driver ran stop sign & red light. Last seen 3 ago. No information on driver.

1:34 p.m. - Grand Theft - Occurred on Bodega. Unlocked vehicle entered between 2100 hrs last night and 0830 hrs this morning while parked ifo residence. Rp's computer and wallet were taken.

6:29 p.m. - Battery - Occurred at Dog Park on Foster City Blvd. Front Counter RP reports that another dog owner (WFA, 19 Y.O., 5'7", dirty blonde hair in a bun, blue "Mercy Burlingame" windbreaker & blue jeans) shoved her into a fence approx. 30 minutes ago. Case taken with no prosecution desired.

Monday, Feb. 18, 2013

1:19 p.m. - Grand Theft - Occurred at Crowne Plaza Foster City on Chess Dr. HMA, mid 30's, took a food warming box and 5 food racks from outside the building on 01/30/12 and was caught on tape on review when items noted as missing. Rp did not report it due to time lapse and no plate noted. Yesterday at 1400 hrs, they believe the same subject and vehicle returned and was looking around the same area for more items and a plate was obtained; however, he didn't take anything this time. Est loss of $2000.00.

8:15 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstance - Occurred at Bowditch School on Tarpon. Report of a door open at the school: no lights on, no vehicles seen. Open door found, interior check conducted, all ok, door secured.
