Police Log, Aug. 9-12: Boy Accidentally Handcuffs Self to Lamp

11:24 a.m. - Vandalism - Occurred at Beach Park Bl/Catamaran. Graffiti reports on a PG&E box on the North East Corner.

2 p.m. - Civil Case - Occurred on Albacore Ln. RP at the front counter to report she feels she was possibly stalked by an unknown subject. A review of RP's court paperwork indicates the subject may be a private investigator connected to the RP's civil case.

7:38 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Trinidad Ln, Fcy. RP reports that a neighbor's garage door has been open for the past 24 hours and no one is answering the door. No crime was observed during an interior search and residence was secured prior to departure.

8:07 p.m. - Grand Theft - Occurred at Brewer Island School on Polynesia Dr. RP reports his motorcycle helmet was taken off his motorycle in the last 45 minutes. RP called back to cancel; helmet located a few blocks away and he believes it was a joke played on him.

8:16 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred at Orchard Supply Hardware on Metro Center Blvd. Employee reports a WMA with a shaved head acting strangely inside the store. No crime; search of vehicle negative.

11:44 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred at Boothbay Av/Edgewater Blvd. WF 40'S dark bro hair with light streaks, observed pulling out of Boothbay Park twds Edgewater in a newer navy blue 4D Lexus drinking a beer.  

11:50 a.m. - Citizen Assist - Occurred on Compass Ln. 8 yro son got hold of his older brother's handcuffs and handcuffed himself to a lamp. RP is unable to find the key. Child checks okay. Cuffs unlocked.

9:25 p.m. - Vehicle Theft - Occurred on Shell Blvd. RP reports his vehicle was stolen sometime between Monday and TOR. Cancelled by RP who discovered the veh was moved as a prank by his friends.

7:49 a.m. - Vehicle Theft - Occurred on Comet Dr. RP reports theft of a work van containing 2 extension ladders and tools. Occurred between 08/10/12 @ 1600 hrs & TOR. SVS entry made and BOL teletype sent. 

7:55 a.m. - Welfare Check - Occurred on Foster City Blvd. Welfare check on her 7 yo son whom she hasn't seen in 2 weeks. Contact made with juv's father who will contact the RP. Child was alseep and checks fine.

3:29 p.m. - City Ordinance Violation - Occurred at Erckenbrack Park on Niantic Dr. RP reports a dark blue or black truck parked in the park near a group having a party. 2 vehicles located, owners contacted admonished and vehicles moved. 

4:41 p.m. - Disturbance - Occurred on Constitution Dr. RP rpts his next door neighbor is tearing down their shared fence. Neighbor not home; note left. 

10:55 p.m. - Graffiti - Officer initiated activity at Altair Av/E Hillsdale Blvd. Grafitti located on a PG&E electrical box.

2 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred at Safeway Supermarket on E Hillsdale Blvd. Anonymous RP reports 5 - 6 juveniles "goofing off" with the shopping carts.

7:26 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Balclutha Dr. Resident at the front counter reporting the air was let out of two of his tires. Information/advice given.

12:52 p.m. - Bike Theft - Occurred at Noah's Bay Area, L.l.c. on Metro Center Blvd. Noah's Bagels employee reports his black men's Schwinn 21 spd road bike taken btwn 1130 & 1240 hrs. Estimated loss of $289.00. No serial number available. RP believes he may have possible suspect information.

3:45 p.m. - Found Property - Occurred at Beach Park Blvd./Farragut Blvd. Passer-by saw a child's bike left unattended on eastbound sidewalk just after Bicentennial Bridge near the park. Silver and black boy's 1 speed Raleigh Mini MXR bike was entered into APS and booked into the Property Room. 

7:27 p.m. - Suspicious Vehicle - Occurred on Commons Ln. RP reports 2 suspicious WMA's, late 20's to early 30's, smoking something from a glass pipe while sitting in a beige 4 door vehicle. Contacted and no crime was observed.
