Police Log, Aug. 1-2: Juveniles Arrested for Stealing Boat

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

8:34 a.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Altair Ave. Barking dog complaint. Dog barking upon officers arrival. Exterior of residence checked due to burglary call yesterday. Exterior secure and nothing unusual noted. 

12:36 p.m. - Suspicious Person - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. RP reports a suspicious WMA, 6', thin build, cap, white T-shirt, dark pants, was at her door asking if a middle school age child resided with her. Subect was last seen walking southbound approx. 15 minutes ago.

3:40 p.m. - Suspicious Person - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. RP reports a suspicious BMA, 24 Y.O., black T-shirt,  & a WMA, 50 Y.O., gray hair, white long sleeved dress shirt, were at his door asking if anyone spoke Portuguese. Subjects were last seen westbound on Beach Park Blvd. towards Foster City Blvd. in a white van (similar to a Dodge Caravan or Toyota Sienna) approx. 5 minutes ago. 

8:56 p.m. - Bike Theft - Occurred on Promontory Point Ln. Case taken after the RP's four bicycles were stolen from the garage today. Taken were a green mountain bike, a red Schwinn, a black and orange Diamondback, a silver women's mountainbike. Serial numbers not available for entry. Total loss was approximately $1700.

9:41 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred on Magellan Ln. Case taken after the RP's family members cashed a $710 check belonging to her.

5:01 a.m. - Commercial Burglary - Officer initiated activity at Lido St/Catamaran. Officer locates three juveniles with a boat that does not belong to them. Three juv's  arrested and released to parents for commercial burglary, petty theft, conspiracy and minor in possession of alcohol.

5:18 a.m. - Fireworks - Occurred on Celestial Ln. Report of fireworks heard and 2 or 3 subjects running EB towards Altair.

11:10 a.m. - Exhibition of Firearm - Occurred on Edgewater Blvd. RP at the front counter reports that yesterday during a disagreement over a soccer game, the other involved party went to his vehicle, retreived a handgun from the trunk and brandished it.

12:17 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred on Foster City Blvd. Front Counter RP reports that her rear license plate was stolen sometime between 1700 HRS on 08-01-12 and 0800 HRS on 08-02-12. Plate was entered into SVS.

2:42 p.m. - Bike Theft - Occurred on Promontory Point Ln. RP reports theft of a bicycle from the garage. Occurred between 07/26/12 1400hrs & 08/02/12 1100hrs. Taken was an unsecured black & white Trek women's bike, serial number unknown. 

9:38 p.m. - Battery - Occurred on Shell Blvd. RP reports her son-in-law hit her 38yr old nephew. Case taken for assault and battery, no prosecution desired, no injuries sustained, both parties have left.
