Police Log, April 29-30: Kids Ignite Couch, Fire Spreads to Grass

7:34 a.m. - Residential Burglary - Occurred on Beach Park Bl. Audible alarm activated atrium double doors.

8:48 a.m. - Barking Dog - Occurred on Tampa Ct. Barking dog complaint. Ongoing problem. Dog owner advised construction causing dog to bark and they are doing all they can. Rp advised of situation and advice rendered.

4:49 p.m. - Arson - Occurred at The Jumps on Beach Park Bl. Multiple RP's report a grass fire by the Jumps. Determined to be an abandoned couch that was ignited by 4 middle school aged WMJ's. FCFD responded to extinguish the fire. 

7:24 p.m. - Found Property - Occurred on Pizarro Ln. RP found a cell phone on her doorstep. Damaged phone is missing parts and possesses no monetary value.

8:04 p.m. - Residential Burglary - Occurred on Catamaran, Fcy. RP has returned home to find his apt burglarized. Entry was made via bedroom window. An Xbox and a small amount of cash were taken. APS entry made

9:08 p.m. - Vehicle Theft - Occurred on Shell Bl. RP reports that his gray 2006 Toyota Highlander was stolen from his parking space sometime in the last 2 hours. Cancelled as officers arrived on scene; RP forgot he had parked it elsewhere.

12:47 p.m. - ID Theft - Occurred on Beach Park Bl. Front counter RP reports unkown(s) opened 50 credit card accounts in her name. RP did not have documention at this time and will return later.

5:11 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstance - Occurred on Loon Ct. RP reports seeing a WM breaking out the window of the residence from the inside. Resident's contractor was replacing a broken window. 

5:38 p.m. - Animal Call - Occurred on Cumberland Ct. Advice requested regarding a neighbor's dog who may be vicious. Advice rendered and RP was also referred to the Peninsula Humane Society for additional assistance.

6:02 p.m. - Leash Law Violation - Occurred at Polynesia Dr/Lurline Dr. RP reports that his dog was attacked by a pit bull approx. 10 minutes ago. Owner is a WMA, red T-shirt with blue jeans, who let his 2 Y.O. hold the dog's leash. Subjects were last seen walking westbound on Polynesia Dr. RP declined contact.

9 p.m. - Suspicious Person - Occurred on Sea Spray Ln. Report of a male on a low bicycle who was riding around the parking lot and went into the parking garage when a vehicle exited. Garage checks clear, subject GOA, no damage or crime observed.
