Police Blotter: Soccer Moms Behaving Badly

Friday, Oct. 7

9:17 a.m., Franciscan Apartments on Foster City Boulevard: A property manager reported a man pilfering recyclables from an apartment complex, but the burglar got away on his bicycle by the time the cops showed up.

3:26 a.m., Sea Spray Lane:  An identity thief opened a credit card in a Foster City resident’s name.

6:11 p.m., Shell Boulevard and East Court Lane:

A 43-year-old Foster City man was arrested for public drunkenness. Police found John Cutler on the ground but not injured when they arrested him.

10:07 p.m., Comet Drive: A motorist complained to police that a vandal has repeatedly put feces on their car.

11:42 p.m. Port Royal Park, Port Royal Avenue: A 46-year-old San Mateo man was arrested for driving under the influence. Edgar Chinchila was taken to First Chance, a San Carlos treatment center.

 

Saturday, Oct, 8

3:33 a.m., Marlin Cove Shopping Center: A 44-year-old Foster City Man was arrested for driving under the influence. Monroe Wright was taken to First Chance, a San Carlos treatment center.

1:19 p.m., Edgewater Boulevard: Police are investigating a case of possible fraud involving a would-be tenant who was issued a $4,700 refund check for a deposit from a closed account for an apartment that never opened up.

5:08 p.m., Sea Cloud Park on Sea Cloud Drive: Police were summoned to mediate a dispute between parents at a children’s soccer game after receiving complaints of a disturbance.

 

Sunday, Oct. 9

2:56 a.m., Port Royal Avenue: Burglars stole gold coins valued at about $5,000 and $4,000 in cash from two unlocked cars parked in an unlocked garage.

9:04 a.m., Port Royal Avenue: Burglars stole $15 from an unlocked car’s center console.

3:20 p.m., Costco on Metro Center Boulevard: A 28-year-old resident from the state of Washington was arrested for shoplifting. Katherine Altman was charged with stealing $27 in merchandise.

5:04 p.m., Foster City Boulevard: Two Hayward residents were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Ronald Ojas-Castro and Teresa Quintero (both 39) were booked into county jail.

9:09 p.m., Metro Center Boulevard: A 29-year-old San Rafael man was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Luis Navarrro was booked into county jail.
