Police Blotter: Pizza Order Gone Awry

Friday, Dec. 9
9:17 a.m, Tradewinds Apartments on Polynesia Drive: Vandals broke the rear window of a parked vehicle sometime after 11 a.m. on Dec. 6.
8:16 p.m., Blythe Street: A Foster City man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance, among other charges. Ryan K. Dong, 33, was also detained for being under the influence of a controlled substance, and outstanding warrants for being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving under the influence. He was taken to county jail.

9:13 p.m., Balclutha Drive: An unwanted house guest agreed to leave a home he was visiting when police arrived. Police issued the man a Salvation Army voucher and took the man to the San Carlos Inn.

Saturday, Dec. 10
5:01 p.m., Bay Cities Patrol on Gull Avenue: A 6-foot 180-pound man who tried to open a bedroom window told a man who confronted him in his backyard that he mistook the home for a listed rental unit he wanted to know was still vacant.
Sunday, Dec. 11
12:36 a.m., Crowne Plaza on Chess Drive: A San Bruno man and a San Mateo woman were arrested for assault. Brian McGill, 36, and Maggie Gaan, 23, were booked and released at the police department.
12:44 a.m., Pizza Hut on Triton Drive: A neighbor called police when they saw a bald man, approximately 30 years old, pounding on the door and yelling at employees. The man fled in a silver jeep by the time authorities arrived. Police determined the man was trying to replace an order he’d already cancelled after the restaurant had closed.
9:49 a.m., Comet Drive: Vandals painted “just married” and similar slogans on a parked car sometime after 6 p.m. on Saturday.
11:24 a.m., Flying Cloud Isle: Burglars broke into a parked car by unknown means, stealing a laptop computer and prescription eyeglasses valued at about $1,240 from a parked vehicle. The incident occurred sometime between 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 11 a.m. the next day.
8:42 p.m., Chess Drive: Three or four thieves stole a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses valued at about $250 from a parked car. The thieves drove away in a red 1990s Acura.
