Police Blotter: Pellet Gun Shooter Denies Aiming at Ducks; Car Theft Claim Not Holding Up

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 31

2:59 p.m., Balboa Lane: A person whom witnesses said was shooting a pellet gun or rubber bands at some ducks told police they were shooting at paper targets.

8:08 p.m., Parkside Towers on East Hillsdale Boulevard: A parked car was hit by a hit-and-run driver sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 2

8:40 a.m., Beach Park Boulevard: Two locked bicycles were stolen from a carport in separate incidents. A blue Specialized bike was stolen on Oct. 18, and a blue Rockhopper BMX bike was stolen sometime on Nov. 1 or Nov. 2.

8:44 a.m., Foster City Police Department on East Hillsdale Boulevard: Police are investigating a person for falsely reporting a vehicle stolen.

10:29 a.m., Vintage Park Drive: A business owner told police an employee cashed stolen checks in Las Vegas.

2:02 p.m., Vintage Park Drive: Two laptops were stolen from a business between 11 p.m. on Nov. 1 and 8 a.m. the next day.

4:17 p.m., 600 block of Foster City Boulevard: A vehicle was reported stolen just 30 minutes after the owner parked it.

 

Thursday, Nov. 3

2:36 a.m., Crowne Plaza: A woman who shattered a hotel window fled the scene before police arrived.

12:52 p.m., Public Storage on Triton Drive: A customer reported their locker was broken into between 10 a.m. on Oct. 2 and 10 a.m. the next day.

3:12 p.m., Beach Park Boulevard: Burglars stole two Sony PlayStations, a Wii, a Dell Laptop and miscellaneous jewelry from a home between 8:10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
