Police Blotter: Parents Upset Over Game at Sea Cloud, Rocks Placed Behind Tires of Neighbor's Car

The following information was supplied by the Foster City police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday

9:26 a.m., Central Peninsula Church on Shell Boulevard: A resident reported falling on a raised portion of the sidewalk. Resident later went to the emergency room for treatment and is now requesting a police report. 

10:50 a.m., Peninsula Jewish Community Center: A resident reported that a ring and two credit cards were taken from locker at PJCC on two separate occasions. A report was taken.

12:07 p.m., Brewer Island School: Assistance was requested for a violent eight year old student. An informational case was taken.

6:51 p.m., McDonald's Restaurant on Triton Drive: FCPD received a report of a non-injury accident that may have been caused by a medical problem. Fire and medics also enroute. No damage located to either vehicle and no medical assistance
needed. Driver was transported home and a re-examination submitted to DMV.

8:16 p.m., Sea Cloud Park: A resident requested police presence at the park to help calm down parents who are becoming upset over a children's game. Crowd dispersed peacefully.

Tuesday

7:53 a.m., Vibe on Shell Boulevard: Graffiti reported on wall facing the tennis courts and also on the shed doors. A report was taken.

12:14 p.m., Catamaran and Marquette Lane: A resident reported a suspicious subject driving up and down streets in the area. Subject was contacted and was trying to get his 16 month old to sleep.

1:01 p.m., Costco Wholesale: While at the scene of a fire assist call, an officer was flagged down and advised by store security of shoplifters in custody. Maxim Solomka and  Nina Hanna,  both Foster City residents, were cited and released from the station for petty theft.

5:10 p.m., West Parkway Lane and East Hillsdale Boulevard: A resident reported a male subject who appeared to have just been hit by a car who is now sitting on the grass near the 989 E. Hillsdale Building. Subject is a dark skinned male in his twenties with very long hair, wearing light colored pants rolled up and carrying a pizza box. Possible vehicle involved is a silver 2d partial plate of 6DHF, driven by a male. Extensive area check made with negative results.

5:10 p.m., Costco Wholesale: A resident reported a young female wearing heels had parked without a handicap placard. Determined person does have a placard.

Wednesday

1:47 p.m., Ribbon: Burglary by entry of back window. Loss was $4000 cash. A report was taken.

11:04 p.m., Safeway Supermarket: Safeway staff report that an ex-employee, a white male in his twenties wearing a black hat, glasses, black shirt and backpack may have stolen a can of baby formula and was last seen walking round the west side of the store. Area check made and the subject was gone on arrival. No staff saw the subject actually taking any items and the CCTV footage was reviewed but no crime was observed.

Thursday

12:13 a.m., Sea Horse Court: A resident reported that a person in dark clothing knocked on the front window, went and crouched in the driveway with a second person, came and knocked on their window again. Subjects were gone on upon
officers arrival.

1:04 a.m., East Hillsdale Boulevard: Kevin Cotchett of no fixed abode was
arrested for violation of a served restraining order and transported to county jail.

12:48 p.m., Edgewater Boulevard: A resident at front counter reported that her parked vehicle had paint poured on it and an angry note left. No permanent damage. A report was taken. Resident would like advice regarding retaliation from a local business because he notified the FDA about products being sold and now the owner's children are placing rocks behind the tires of his vehicle preventing him from backing up safely. Contact made with the resident who was provided an incident number.
