Police Blotter: McDonald's Patron Wasn't Drunk; Pedestrian Struck by Car in Safeway Lot Hospitalized

Friday, May 4

6:14 p.m., Safeway on East Hillsdale Boulevard: An unattended Gucci wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at about 4:45 p.m. The wallet contained $100 in cash, $100 in gift cards and the owner's driver's license.

8:41 p.m., Diaz Lane: Vandals tagged a garage door with an "ROPLS" inscription sometime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

12:43 a.m., McDonald's on Triton Drive: Police responding to a report from an emergency medical responder of a drunk driver in the parking lot determined the person wasn't intoxicated.

2:27 p.m. Safeway on East Hillsdale Boulevard: A pedestrian who was struck by a car in the parking lot was taken to Stanford Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The driver was cited.

5:57 p.m., Edgewater Boulevard: A Foster City woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Louise Thomas, 72, was taken to First Chance, a San Carlos treatment center.

 

Sunday, May 6

12:00 a.m., Metro Center Boulevard and Shell Boulevard: Police observed an altercation in progress and arrested a San Mateo woman on suspicion of causing corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant. Maile Vaitai, 22, was taken to county jail.

2:57 a.m., Peninsula Jewish Community Center on Foster City Boulevard: A Foster City man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Joseph Camicia, 30, was taken to First Chance.

11:19 p.m., Foster City Boulevard and Galleon Lane: A Foster City resident was arrested on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Sonny J. Bowman, 33, was taken to county jail.
