Police Blotter, May 29-31: Man 'Lurks' in Foster City Library Children's Area

2:24 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances - Occurred on Leeward Lane. RP at the front counter requests to speak to an officer regarding a suspicious subject possibly involved in an egging of the neighborhood that occurred last week.

3:46 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred at Lotus Garden on Shell Blvd. RP reports theft of her purse from inside the business. The purse was left in an unsecured room near the cash register just inside the front door. No suspect info. Loss: $600.

7:44 p.m. - Disturbance - Occurred at Port Royal Ave./Crystal Court. RP reports 2 older men involved in a pushing/shoving match. Both parties contacted; situation mediated.

3:18 a.m. - Barking Dog - Occurred on Tampa Court. Complaint of a dog outside barking.

1:21 p.m. - Disturbance - Occurred at Library on E Hillsdale Blvd. Subject, who yesterday was asking teenagers to use their cell phone, is lurking around children's area making children and parents uncomfortable. He is now at the computer area. Contact made with subject who was told not to come back for today and was advised/admonished for behavior.

3:50 p.m. - Animal Call - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. Brown & black Pitbull mix with collar on sitting with a dead jack rabbit in its mouth. The dog was gone on arrival and rabbit moved to the side of the road. DPW notified.

6:47 p.m. - Petty Theft - Occurred on Vintage Park Drive. RP at the front counter reports the rear license plate from his vehicle was removed today.

9:03 a.m. - Residential Burglary - Occurred on Harvester Drive. RP woke to loud banging sound and found her front door had been kicked in. RP then went next door to get a neighbor for interior check. Interior was checked then PD was called. RP saw nothing and heard nothing after the door bang. Extensive area check made and neighbors contacted.

10:35 a.m. - Barking Dog - Occurred on Arcturus Circle. RP states there is now a 3rd dog in the backyard barking. Two dogs mentioned in case in backyard. Smaller lab was barking at gardener using blower next door. When gardener completed dog stopped barking.

3:27 p.m. - Fraud - Occurred at Visa Int'l Service Association on Metro Center Blvd. Visa reporting unknowns have copied checks and cashed them at several locations totalling $89,334.00.00 so far.

10:53 p.m. - Trespassing - Occurred on Sea Spray Lane. RP reports two subjects just jumped the fence to the swimming pool.
