Police Blotter: Drunk Driver Arrested, Bikes Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Foster City police department for July 15-17. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday

12:25pm, Halsey Boulevard: Police respond to resident’s report that a vehicle has been parked in front of home unmoved for several days. Police issue courtesy notice and mark vehicle for observation.

3:40pm, Foster City School Elementary School: Two juveniles wearing hats and carrying backpacks reported to be on roof of old building under construction. The juveniles were gone when police arrived.

Saturday

12:19am, Safeway: Police respond to report of man and woman arguing in front of store. Argument was a misunderstanding over a photo prank. Police served a Criminal Protective Order.

5:23pm, Nantucket Street: Elderly woman requests police assistance with getting a “big bird” out of the house.

9:34pm, Catamaran Street: Woman tells police that her husband twisted her arm and walked out of their apartment. Thirty-year-old man was arrested for battering his wife and booked into county jail.

Sunday

1:48am, Chess and Hatch drives: A 36-year-old San Jose woman was arrested for drunk driving. Police released vehicle to passenger with valid driver’s license.

3:40am, Edgewater and Hillsdale boulevards: Caller is following possible drunk driver, who stopped at a green light and ran a red light. Driver turned out to be lost and trying to use her GPS. Police gave her directions.

2:58pm, Ribbon Street: Resident tells police that three bikes were stolen from open garage sometime between 12:30 and 2:30pm. A men’s red Schwinn cruiser, a women’s pink Schwinn cruiser and a boy’s yellow mountain bike were taken. The bikes were valued at $500.

7:41pm, Killdeer Court: Mother calls police for advice regarding her nine-year-old son who is “out of control.” Boy was upset because his mom wouldn’t take him swimming.
