Police Blotter: Cops Confront Weird Science, Fake Money and an Alleged Antacid Burglar

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan 13

7:45 a.m., Crowne Plaza on Chess Drive: Two makeup bags valued at about $150 were stolen from a car parked in a structure garage. Burglars smashed in a rear window in an incident that occurred sometime after 11 p.m. on Thursday.

12:26 p.m., Orchard Supply Hardware on Metro Center Boulevard: Three burglars stole power tools valued at $1,100. Two men ran out of the store with the merchandise, where a driver was waiting for them. Their getaway car was least seen headed east on Highway 92.

6:58 p.m., CVS Pharmacy on East Hillsdale Boulevard: Police arrested a 27-year-old transient on suspicion of commercial burglary. Stephan Ferrara was taken to county jail for allegedly stealing Band-Aids and Pepto Bismol.

Saturday, Jan. 14

12:34 a.m., Mariners Point on East Third Avenue: A San Mateo woman was arrested for possession of stolen property after police responded to a report of a disturbance over a missing cell phone. Kefie Pita, 29, was taken to county jail.

9:15 a.m., Shearwater Isle: California Alternative Vehicle (CAV) stickers were stolen from an electric car sometime after 1 p.m. on Friday.

2:05 p.m., CVS Pharmacy on Portal Lane: An older man pulled a gun or a taser and threatened to kill a truck driver who was making a delivery in a road rage incident. The white-haired man was wearing a black baseball cap, a brown vest and a blue shirt and jeans.  He was driving a light blue Ford pickup truck with a dog in the cabin.

5:59 p.m., Foster City Boulevard: A unlocked black 24-speed unisex Novara bicycle valued at $400 was stolen sometime after 3 p.m.

8:19 p.m., Crowne Plaza on Chess Drive: An intoxicated man who bartenders had already cut off was seen driving towards the freeway in a black Ford Explorer.

  

Sunday, Jan. 15

1:46 a.m., Metro Center Boulevard: A Pacifica man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Nicholas Pleasure, 29, was taken to county jail.

3:12 a.m., Edgewater Boulevard and Highway 92: An Arcata woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Noelle Boring, 30, was taken to First Chance, a San Carlos treatment center.

4:01 a.m., Gull Avenue: A hit and run driver caused unspecified damage in a collision with a parked car.

7:38 a.m., East Hillsdale Boulevard: A Madera man was arrested on three outstanding warrants. Randall McKinney, 23, was taken to county jail.

12:41 p.m., Shell Boulevard: A Foster City man was arrested on a $10,000 DUI warrant out of San Mateo. Alexander Dove, 27, was taken to county jail.

12:58 p.m., Crowne Plaza on Chess Drive: Scammers paid for a meal with a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill.

2:35 p.m., Sea Cloud Park on Sea Cloud Drive: Police responding to a report of illegal fireworks on the soccer field determined two juveniles were conducting a physics class assignment using small rockets.

 

Monday, Jan. 16

6:50 p.m., Costco Wholesale on Metro Center Boulevard: Burglars smashed in a rear window and stole a 15-inch Hewlett Packard laptop from a parked car. The incident was among three break-ins that occurred shortly after 5:55 p.m.

7:03 p.m., El Torito on Vintage Park Drive: Two men were seen smashing in the window of a parked car at about 6:55 p.m. They drove off in a silver car.
