Police Blotter: Caregivers Gone Wild; Friend of One Walks Around Family's Home Naked, Another Accused of Embezzlement in Separate Incidents

Monday, Oct. 3

10:55 a.m., Creative Litho on Foster City Boulevard: An 8-by-4 foot wooden storage crate in the rear of the business was stuffed with trash. Police were unable to determine who left the debris.

11:33 a.m., Costco on Metro Center Boulevard: A 29-year-old San Francisco woman was with a 20-month-old child when she was arrested for commercial burglary. Jessica Liang, is accused of stealing merchandise valued at $470. She was booked into county jail. The child was released to the custody of a relative.

1:09 p.m., Sandy Hook Court: Family members at the front counter of a retail store contacted police when they discovered evidence that their father’s caregiver was embezzling money from him.

3:16 p.m., Crane Avenue: A store clerk reported credit card fraud to police when someone tried to use an unauthorized card. The credit card had already been used make a $277.53 unauthorized purchase on Buy.com, and a second attempt was made to buy $299 worth of merchandise from the same company but was blocked by the bank.

4:42 p.m., Chess Drive: A hit-and-run driver caused property damage in an incident that occurred sometime between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.

5:27 p.m., Trimaran Court: A Foster City resident’s credit card number was used to make an approximately $1,000 unauthorized purchase in Riverside.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 4

11:15 p.m., Chess Drive: A 41-year-old Colorado woman was arrested for public drunkenness. Caroline Beck was taken to First Chance in San Carlos.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 5

11:53 a.m., Sandy Hook Court: Police responded to a complaint from a landlord accusing a tenant with which they’re involved in an ongoing dispute with grand theft. The tenant was not at the scene when police arrived.

9:26 p.m., Edgewater Place on Edgewater Drive: A 43-year-old Foster City woman was arrested for public drunkenness. Rebecca Aulub was taken to First Chance in San Carlos.

 

Thursday, Oct. 6

2:07 p.m., CVS on East Hillsdale Boulevard: A customer’s credit card was stolen while they were shopping at the store.

9:58 p.m., Sandy Hook Court: Police responded to reports of a disturbance when a family complained that a friend of a live-in caregiver was walking around the house naked.
