Police Blotter: Banging Pipes Are A Plumber's Problem

Friday

12:01 a.m., Foster City Boulevard: A woman who lives in the Franciscan Apartments reported a banging noise in her pipes for the past 30 minutes. It was determined to be a plumbing problem inside her apartment.

12:49 a.m., Foster City Police Department on E. Hillsdale Boulevard: A new resident of the city came to the front counter and requested to speak with an officer regarding California gun laws. An officer assisted him.

6:24 p.m., Vibe on Shell Boulevard: Someone reported a suspicious Hispanic male on a bike wearing an orange beanie, black shirt and jeans, riding around the area "glaring and staring" at women. An extensive area check was made with negative results. The person was gone upon the officers' arrival.

6:33 p.m., Dog park on Foster City Boulevard: Someone reported a white male, late 20's/early 30's, was stooped down by a listed vehicle at the entrance by the parking lot, looking at the dog park. The person said the subject started doing push-ups and then took his shirt off and put it back on. The subject was described as wearing sunglasses, a green t-shirt and jeans. Officers were dispatched but the suspicious person was gone on arrival.

 

Saturday

9:20 a.m., Beach Park Boulevard and Halibut: A female reported an Indian male wearing a black and white, stripped shirt with large sunglasses greeted her while she was walking. They shook hands, at which point the woman said he touched her inappropriately. Officers responded and arrested Karuthaiah Gnanachelladurai from India. He was transported to County Jail and a report was taken.

4:33 p.m. El Torito on Vintage Park Drive: Officers made contact with a male subject who was swimming in the fountain and sent on his way. 

8:22 p.m. Egret: A woman reported that unknown persons had thrown a plastic bottle filled with an unknown substance under her vehicle and it exploded. An officer determined it to be a dry ice bomb. No damage was done to her so she said she did not desire to file a police report.

 

Sunday

11:31 a.m., Thatcher Lane: An anonymous person reported an ongoing barking dog in the area. Officers responded but found the area to be quiet upon their arrival and departure. 

7:09 p.m., Compass Lane: A woman reported that unknown persons had entered her residence in the past two weeks and stolen an iPod, makeup and clothing. Officers were unable to find any signs of forced entry into her home. A report was taken.
