Police Blotter: $3,500 Worth of Copper Wire Stolen

The following information was supplied by the Foster City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday

12:43am, Foster City Boulevard: Police responded to report of three subjects associated with a red convertible, who were loud, possibly drunk, smashing bottles in the parking lot. Subjects were gone upon officers' arrival.

8:04am, Juno Lane: Resident reported ID theft, in which unknown subjects used Social Security number and personal information to open a DISH Network account.

12:37pm, Metro Center Boulevard/Gateway Drive: Police arrested Jorge Francisco Rivera, a 39-year-old San Leandro resident, on a $5,000 misdemeanor traffic warrant held by Glendale Police Department.

4:22pm, Tender Lane: Woman told police that she hired and paid a subject from a Craigslist ad who failed to provide agreed upon excavation work. Police determined the issue to be a civil matter.

8:43pm, Foster City Boulevard: Property owner reported that a silver and black trailer was stolen from the forecourt sometime between 6pm on July 31 and officers’ time of arrival.

Tuesday

1:28am, Shell Boulevard: Resident reported seeing three subjects: small person, glasses, dark hoodie; taller blond, gray hoodie; and a Hispanic male in all black ducking between cars in the carports and appearing to case vehicles. Police contacted two teenage subjects matching the description. They denied casing and claimed they had been arguing and were trying to hide from each other between cars. Police checked nearby vehicles and found no damage or forced entry.

10:51am, Audobon School: Police responded to report of about 450 feet of electrical copper wire taken from roof of portable buildings. Total loss estimated at $3,500.

9:25pm: Arcturus Park: Woman reported that a young male (short blond hair walking a Labrador) came to her door asking to have the police notified of several juveniles setting fires in Arcturus Park. Police contacted juveniles, who were picked up by their parents.

Wednesday:

4:23pm, Post Office on Shell Boulevard: Police received report of white male in late 20's with thin build, walking shirtless; reporting party has reason to believe that subject may be the indecent exposure suspect out of San Mateo. Police couldn’t find man, who did not fit the description of the wanted person.

9:15pm, Pizza Hut on Triton Drive: Police responded to report of continuous issue with a woman who feeds the cats and leaves a mess in parking lot. Police contacted subject and mediated situation.
