Police Blotter: $100K Heist Highlights Brazen Foster City Burglary Spree; Four Homes Hit in Broad Daylight

Friday, March 9
1:43 p.m., Compass Lane: Burglars stole unspecified property from home sometime after 12:45 p.m.
2:03 p.m., Foster City Police Department on Hillsdale Boulevard: A Foster City man who seemed despondent reporting his iPad and computer had been stolen from Ryan Park was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. James Britt, 63, was taken to First Chance, a San Carlos treatment center.

2:15 p.m., Foster City Boulevard and Vintage Park Drive: A motorcyclist was transported to Stanford Medical Center with unspecified injuries after colliding with another vehicle.
4:46 p.m., Lurline Drive: Property valued at about $100,000 was stolen in a residential burglary. The burglars pried the front door open sometime after 8:30 a.m. Two laptops, an iPod touch and miscellaneous women’s jewelry were among the stolen items.

5:28 p.m., Beach Park Boulevard: Burglars broke into a home in broad daylight, stealing a laptop, an iPad and miscellaneous jewelry from a residence. The thieves entered through the front door sometime after 11:00 a.m.
5:38 p.m., Foster City Boulevard: A hit and run driver caused unspecified damage to a parked car sometime between 5:10 p.m. on Thursday and 7:45 a.m.
7:17 p.m., Beach Park Boulevard: Burglars pried through the door of a residence got away with a laptop. The incident occurred sometime after 9:30 a.m.
Saturday, March 10
9:36 a.m., Shell Boulevard: A 1988 sky blue Toyota Camry was stolen from a carport area sometime after 9:30 p.m. on Friday night.
12:53 p.m., Edgewater Boulevard: Vandals smashed through the window of a parked car sometime after 10 p.m. on Friday but nothing was stolen from the vehicle.
7:29 p.m., Saint Kitts Land and Antigua Lane: Police responded to a report of juveniles in two vehicles “doing doughnuts.”
Sunday, March 11
3:31 a.m., Catamaran Park at Beach Park Boulevard: A Foster City man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and providing false identification. Brian Blake, 29, was taken to First Chance.
5:29 a.m., Edgewater Boulevard: A $10 flashlight and a dollar in cash was stolen by a burglar who may have used a stolen spare key to get into a truck sometime between noon on Saturday and 5:20 a.m. on Sunday.
6:31 p.m., Subway on Edgewater Boulevard: An employee found a bullet on the floor in front of the cash register.
