Christmas Day Shooting Leaves San Mateo Man Wounded
The 20-year-old victim is expected to survive. Police seek public's help tracking down assailants.
A man was shot on a street in San Mateo early Christmas morning, police said.
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1700 block of Eisenhower Street at 12:20 a.m. Sunday and found a 20-year-old San Mateo resident suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to a trauma center to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
