Friday

9:58 am, on Foster City Boulevard: Someone reported seeing a suspicious person looking into a traffic signal box. The person turned out to be a city employee.

11:27 am, Ryan Park on East Hillsdale Boulevard: Police checked up on a homeless man in a long blue jacket who was sleeping in the park.

2:43 pm, on Metro Center Boulevard: Police received a report of a hit-and-run accident involving a red Nissan Pathfinder driven by a man in his 60s. Officers later located the man at his home in Belmont.

2:55 pm, Bounty Drive: An unknown suspect convinced a resident that he was a secret shopper at the person's bank and that he needed to wire transfer money via Wester Union to a bank in Haiti. The man sent the suspect $2,600.

3:52 pm, on Metro Center Boulevard: Police cited and releases Belmont resident June Young, 47, on suspicion of shoplifting and petty theft.

5:20 pm, Edgewater and Beach Park Boulevards: Several people told police that a car crashed into street light pole. Police and public works responded.

Saturday

5:59 am, on Chess Drive: Police cited and released San Mateo resident Amber Press, 23, on suspicion of assault and battery after she hit another woman after getting into an argument.

9:38 am, on Edgewater Boulevard: A worker reported an angry customer. The customer was gone when police arrived.

1:20 pm,  on East Hillsdale Boulevard: A man tried to deposit a Chase cashier's check for $280,000, which the teller determined to be a fake. Police contacted the man, who said he assumed it was a fake but wanted to be sure. Police took a report.

5:38 pm, Pensacola Boothbay Avenue: Palmdale resident Gregory Fox, 56, was arrested on a $75,000 traffic warrant out of Los Angeles County after someone reported seeing him walking down the road in an orange reflective vest, taking notes of street addresses.

7:06 pm, East Hillsdale Boulevard and Admiralty Lane: San Leandro resident Amos Kim, 27, was cited ans released for driving with a suspended license. The car was impounded by Able Towing.

Sunday

2:08 am, Crane Avenue and Swan: Someone reported a suspicious man sitting in a white van, who police later determined to be the newspaper delivery man catching some sleep before starting his rounds.

2:49 am, East Hillsdale Boulevard and Pilgrim Drive: Police arrested Saratoga resident James Lii, 27, on suspicion of drunken driving and transported him to a First Chance facility.

12:44 pm, on East Hillsdale Boulevard: Police arrested San Carlos resident Brenna Ansley, 20, on suspicion of being drunk in public.

1:17 pm, Rock Harbor Lane:  A 55-year-old man who had just arrived from China went for a walk at 9 a.m. and was not found until police located him down the street after the man's friend or relative reported him missing.

2:15 pm, on Foster City Boulevard:  A man was banned from the restaurant by management after getting two free meals and refusing to pay for a third. He paid when police arrived.

3:08 pm, Edgewater Boulevard and Altair Avenue: A juvenile bicyclist was hit by a car and suffered minor injuries. Emergency personnel transported the teen to his parents.

7:45 pm, East Hillsdale Boulevard and Norfolk: Oakland resident Joseph Solario, 41, was cited and released for driving with a suspended license and for displaying false registration tags.

10:36 pm, Metro Center Boulevard and Highway 92: San Mateo resident Bruno Palavi, 52, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and transport to a First Chance facility. His car was impounded by Action Towing.
