Interactive Crime Blotter Friday, April 22 to Sunday, April 24: Armed Robbery, Commercial Burglary and a Blinker Thief

Friday

10:15 a.m., Schooner Bay I Associates, Timberland Lane: An unknown suspect attempted to break into the building by breaking window, possibly by shooting it. The property manager found a discharged shell casing near the window and told police the suspect likely tried to enter two garages and the gym, and also caused vandalism to the swimming pool.

3:01 p.m., Williams Lane: A mother-in-law called police to report that two men wearing green jackets with Comcast logos were in the area, claiming to be checking connectivity after a recent earthquake. Police made contact and determined the men were actually Comcast employees.

3:19 p.m., Bicentennial Bridge, Beach Park Boulevard: Someone reported a suspicious juvenile in all black, carrying a skateboard and listening to music through white ear buds, ran under a bridge from the Lucky supermarket. Police contacted the boy and determined he was OK.

5:26 p.m., East Hillsdale Boulevard: An unknown suspect stole the blinkers from the car doors of a parked car. Total loss was valued at $500.

6:52 p.m., , Chess Drive: Police found a "non-usable amount" of marijuana that officers discovered during a probable cause search.

Saturday

2:25 a.m., Foster City Boulevard: Police received numerous 911 calls about screaming between 3-5 people in the street. Police later determined two friends had gotten into argument after a night of drinking. They were uncooperative, had no visible injuries and declined police assistance. They also gave conflicting statements, making it impossible for police to determine if a fight occurred. Officers separated the two subjects.

5:19 p.m., Windsurfer Park, East Third Avenue: Police warned a man in his later 50s who was dumping personal garbage in a dumpster. Dumping is against city ordinance.

6:21 p.m., Library, East Hillsdale Boulevard: A mother reported that the father of her children was late dropping them off. Police later determined it was a misunderstanding between the parents.

10:01 p.m., Melbourne: A man reported that a woman was knocking on his door asking for Letica. He told her that no one with that name resided at his address. 

Sunday

1:15 a.m., East Hillsdale Boulevard: A juvenile wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans was passed out in a parking stall facing the street. Police later arrested him for a probation violation and released him to his parents.

6 p.m., East Hillsdale Boulevard: An unknown robbed someone at gunpoint and then fled toward Foster City Boulevard. Police canvassed the area and ran a county wide alert, but did not find the suspect.

8:14 p.m., Foster City Boulevard: Someone reported an ongoing problem with some residents pounding and banging on the common walls in the building. Police contacted all parties and abated the situation.
