High Wind Advisory in Effect for San Mateo Bridge

The CHP issued the advisory just after 12 a.m. and it is unclear how long it will be in effect, Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

8:40 a.m. The California Highway Patrol cancelled the high wind advisory
issued for the Benicia-Martinez Bridge this morning, a CHP officer said.

The high wind advisory for the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge is still in place, Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

12:30 a.m. A high wind advisory was issued for the Benicia-Martinez and San Mateo-Hayward bridges this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The CHP issued the advisory just after 12 a.m. and it is unclear how long it will be in effect, Officer Ralph Caggiano said. At about 11 p.m. Sunday, winds were estimated to be 5 to 10 mph, he said.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and obey speed limits, Caggiano said.
