Foster City Public Safety Agencies to Open Doors to Public
Firehouse and police station's informative event is open to children of all ages.
Ever wonder what the inside of your firehouse or police station looks like?
Later this month, Foster City residents can see for themselves.
The City’s two public safety agencies are hosting an informative tour of their respective facilities on Oct. 22. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Fire Department will feature a Fire Safety Trailer where children will learn some useful emergency preparedness measures they can peform. Adults will participate in a stove and utility demonstrations to learn how to properly put out stove fires and how to shut off utilities in an emergency. Paramedics will perform free blood pressure checks.
The Police Department is offering crime prevention information. Officers will be showing the equipment on police cars and motorcycles. Also, free child fingerprinting kits will be available. Snacks and drinks will be served.

All residents are invited to attend. In addition to station tours and the chance to see the tools that are used by firefighters and police officers, there will be many displays, demonstrations and information on safety and emergency preparedness.
There will be information and activities for children all ages.
