neighborhoods and while traveling through the City," said Chief of Police Craig Courtin. "To be most effective, crime prevention needs to be a citywide effort. While police officers and detectives patrol the neighborhoods, residents should be monitoring activities in the community."

FCPD advises residents that when witnessing suspicious people or activity, such as open doors to residences or other things that are out of the ordinary, you must take action by immediately calling the police and providing detailed information about the situation. Be wary of people knocking on your door and asking for someone who does not live in your home or people you have never seen before who appear to be working in the area. Make a practice of locking your exterior doors even when you are home.
