Fire Department Teams Up With Community For Toy Drive

The Central County Fire Department is collecting toys for local charitable groups during its annual toy drive.

The Central County Fire Department’s (CCFD) Holiday Toy Drive is back. Now through Dec. 24, toys and donations are being collected at 36 Burlingame and Hillsborough locations, in addition to all CCFD fire stations.

Toys should be new and unwrapped. Monetary donations are also accepted by mail at: CCFD Toy Drive, 1399 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.

The donations go to 15 charitable organizations, five of which are in Burlingame. Home & Hope Interfaith Community, Shelter Network, Women's Recovery Association, CALL Primrose and Air Transport Employees all benefit from the toy drive.

The CCFD Toy Drive collected 225 barrels of toys in 2010, benefitting 12 San Mateo charitable organizations.
