Crime Blotter, Monday, May 16, to Thursday, May 19: Woman Reports Foul Play, Police Arrest AWOL Marine

Monday

5:29 a.m., , Triton Drive:  A worker at McDonald's reportedly shined a red lazer pointer in a man's eye while he was eating in his car. Police arrived and determined that the manager would deal with the employee.

8:47 a.m., Shell Boulevard: An unknown suspect entered an unlocked car and stole an ashtray along with three cents.

9:36 a.m., Killdeer Court: A woman reported an unauthorized $87 charge to her checking account.

10:16 a.m., Bowfin Street:  A former co-worker showed up at a man's house and demanded money. Police determined that no crime had occurred, but made sure the person plans to leave the resident alone.

11:59 a.m., Vintage Park Drive:  Police cited Jose Beltran, 38, a Modesto resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked.

5:27 p.m., Halibut Street and Marlin Avenue:  A man called police to report a verbal dispute he had with his neighbor's gardener. 

10:11 p.m., Taco Bell, Triton Drive:  Police arrested Jennifer Carlough-Phillips, 32, a Camarillo resident, on a no-bail traffic warrant out of Placer County.

Tuesday

12:28 a.m., Metro Center Boulevard and Highway 92:  Police cited Jenna Quinn, 24, a Emeryville resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

10:23 a.m., East Third Avenue:  A woman called police to report that her ex-husband has been sending her threatening and harassing text message and also threatened to show up at her work. 

10:45 a.m., Beach Park and Shell Boulevards:  Police recovered a car that had been reported stole out of San Francisco.

11:25 a.m., Diaz Lane:  A resident called police to report that someone had been eating his trash. Police determined it was a raccoon.

6:18 p.m., , Boothbay Avenue:  Someone reported seeing some juveniles possibly smoking marijuana behind the tennis courts. They were one when police arrived.

9:51 p.m., East Hillsdale Boulevard and U.S. Highway 101:  Police cited Eswin Juarez Vasquez, 21, a San Mateo resident, on suspicion of driving without a license.

Wednesday

8:45 a.m., Neptune Lane:  An unknown suspect smashed a car window and stole an iTouch and a Coach purse and make-up bag.

12 p.m., Cornwallis:  Someone reportedly found a four-inch buck knife behind a dresser and does not know who it belonged to.

2:34 p.m., Balcultha Drive and Ranger Circle:  An older man, bald with a long brown jacket, was reportedly pacing back and forth.

5:15 a.m., Beach Park Boulevard:  Two pitfalls that were running loose were returned to their home nearby. They had escaped through an open side gate.

8:58 p.m., East Third Avenue and Lakeside Drive:  Police aided in helping a distressed windsurfer who was located in San Mateo.

Thursday

12:03 a.m., Shell Boulevard and Bounty Drive:  Police cited David Chan, 34, a VA resident, on suspicion of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

3:08 a.m., Port Royal Avenue and Edgewater Boulevard:  Peter Brown, 33, a Rodeo resident, was arrested and booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and also on a $10,000 misdemeanor warrant out of Foster City.

11:17 a.m., :  Police arrested Herman Banks, 36, an AWOL marine, on military warrant for desertion after a librarian called police to report that he was at the front counter.

4:06 p.m., , East Hillsdale Boulevard:  A man driving a blue Toyota pickup stole a bale of cardboard worth between $150 and $250. He then left southbound on U.S. Highway 101.

4:55 p.m., Shell Boulevard:  A man lost his wallet at the tennis courts, but someone returned it while police were en route. All items were accounted for.
