CHP to Hold DUI Checkpoint in San Mateo County Friday

San Mateo County's California Highway Patrol office is planning a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, Dec. 20 in an effort to combat drunk driving.

The checkpoint will be operated from about 8:00 p.m. to midnight at a location that has not yet been disclosed.

The CHP uses DUI checkpoints to help reduce injury and fatal collisions that are caused by drunk drivers, and asks the public to designate a driver if they happen to allow alcohol to be part of their evening.
