Small Business Start-up and Development

In this economy—with over 25 million people either unemployed or underemployed, with foreclosures and bankruptcies at record levels, with all of us feeling the pinch in one way or another—the hope for an extra $200 to $300 a month in income can be hard to pass up.   It’s likely that if you’re among this group you may have thought about or been approached by a friend or family member about and opportunity in Network Marketing.

Everything you’ve heard about Network Marketing is true.

The good. And the bad. Network marketing can be a wonderful way to work for yourself and earn a comfortable residual income.

Or, it can be a dead-end scheme cooked up by profiteers more interested in pyramiding revenues than creating real value.

My suggestion is be intrigued, but skeptical. (Good approach. Stick to it.) It will take time, diligence and quite a bit of legwork to identify a business that is not a fruitless come-on, but and honest well paying opportunity—don’t be fooled by all those get rich ads that promise riches without effort.

After you have identified a business that is right for you whether it’s a networking business or more traditional one start small, working from home part time. Develop your business at a comfortable pace. Mitigate the risk. Build it right and make it last for ever.
