There’s ‘Magic’ Inside!

PHS' new Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion is best Christmas gift any shelter worker could hope for.

I won't kid myself into thinking even a few of you will read my usual 750 words on Christmas.

So for this week, just a few words and lots of photos.

If each one says the proverbial thousands words, we’re set.

The first few show the best Christmas gift any shelter worker or volunteer could ever want, our new, architecturally stunning, warm, fun and inspiring Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion.

These are visitors' words, not mine!

It's the place where magic happens daily. If you haven't visited and you love (or even like animals) it will be worth your time. We promise no sappy elevator Christmas Muzak, no lines and easy parking. And, we'll go easy on you -- no hard sells on the animals. They do the selling on their own.

Some of them are pictured here. Enjoy - Happy Holidays.

Our new Center for Compassion is open every day but New Year's Day and we're closing a bit early, 5 pm, on New Year's Eve.

Great photos. Visited a couple of months ago, and found the place absolutely stunning. Very warm vibe and the volunteer who greeted us at the entrance was so genuine and friendly. We can't have pets but we loved spending time, giving attention to the pets up for adoption and admiring every aspect of the facility. Congratulations.

Thank you Scott. I can't think of a better way to honor someone for whom life was complete thanksRead More to the companionship of an animal.
